Nathan Perdew

PERDEW 22 Apr 1898 Mr Nathan Perdew died in Decatur Co, IA on March 31, aged 76 years, 4 months, and 6 days. The funeral was held in Leon IA. He was born in Bedford CO, PA on 25 Nov 1821 and he married Mary Blair in the fall of 1850 and moved to Lee Co in 1851, and on to Decatur Co in 1856. He was one of the 49ers who went to California. He is survived by 3 sons and 3 daughters and some relatives still in Bedford Co.. He was a member of the ME Church since 1839. A brother was Archibald Perdew of Bedford CO who is the father of Prof George E Perdew. He was also a brother of the 2nd wife of the late J R M Hendrickson who lived east of the city.
