"Elisha was a Revolutionary War soldier; participating in the Battle of Bennington and was assigned to several companies stationed for coastal defense.They removed from Gorham to Limington in 1792 and settled on Strout's Hill, now Peter's Hill.The last Strout to live on the place was Edith may Strout Peters who died in 1967."
