Married to Morris Miles on October 15, 1835. Mother of Susan, Richard, William B., Aaron W., Bletcher S., Sarah Elizabeth, Anna Eliza, John T. and Levi Walter Miles.

May 3, 1897 Tuesday Sullivan Democrat

-Additional News.- Death. -Adaline Miles the aged mother of Mr. W.B. Miles died at her home on North Section street Friday afternoon. She had been sick for several weeks and on Friday morning received a stroke of paralysis which resulted in her death a few hours later. She was born in 1817 and settled at New Lebanon with her parents in 1833. On October 15, 1835 she married Morris Miles and to this union were born nine children, six boys and three girls. Her husband preceeded her to the better land 37 years ago.

She united with the M.E. Church when a young girl at New Lebanon and held her membership there until '82 when she moved to Sullivan and where she sustained a noble Christian character until she was called home.

For the past twelve years she was blind, and had to make the journey of life in darkness. For many years she was a great sufferer from neuralgia but she bore it all without murmuring, finding the grace of God abundantly sufficient for all her needs. One son, and the three daughters remain to mourn her loss.

The funeral services were held Sunday morning and interment was made in the New Lebanon Cemetery.
