While Elizabeth is named in John Campbell's will and given a generous bequest, she is not identified as his daughter. She may not be a daughter.
In US Census 1850 George A. Miller & wife Eliza A. Miller are living in the Savannah River Regiment, Abbeville, So. Carolina. George is 71 and Eliza is 45. Their neighbor is Nicholas Hardin 46 yrs and his family - the names are right + ages.
This "Eliza" cannot be Nicholas' mother - probably not the mother of Nicholas' siblings either. Must be a 2nd wife.
Will of father John Campbell (Abbeville S.C., District of Wills & Bonds, Box 18, Pack 370) refers to "legacy" of $4,000 paid 17 Feb 1823 from estate of father John Campbell.
