Sir John Acland, 1st Baronet (c. 1591 – 24 August 1647) married Elizabeth Vincent, daughter of Sir Francis Vincent, 1st Baronet and Sarah Paulet, c1635, and had issue:

  1. Susanna Acland, married Edward Halsall, and later John Carleton
  2. Robert Acland , Named in the wills of his father and grandmother, a minor 1648, died s.p.
  3. Sir Francis Acland, 2nd Baronet (c1636-1649)
  4. Sir John Acland, 3rd Baronet (c1636-1655)
  5. Sir Hugh Acland, 5th Baronet (c1639-1714)
  6. Eleanor Acland (d. c1647), married Sir John Davie, Baronet

Note: Named in the wills of her husband and mother in law Lady Ellinor Vincent. Admon. granted 25 Jan. 1650 to Thomas Chase, guardian of Susan Acland dauhter of the deceased during minority, expired by reason of death of the said Susan; 2nd Admo. "de bonis non" granted 6 July 1671 to William Brown, creditor, Hugh Acland son of deceased having renounced. Act Book P.C.C.
