About Elizabeth (Bass) Bittle
Notes
https://www.genealogy.com/forum/surnames/topics/bass/1256/
My files show Elizabeth Bittle (and Brittle) as the daughter of John Bass and Elizabeth (last name unproven but printed occasionally as Winborn). This John Bass is the son of John Bass, Jr. and Love Harris (in my file).Elizabeth had siblings - Jacob, Isaac, Abraham, Jethro, Drury, John, Alse (?) and Undin (Eurodice who is my direct relation).
John Bass will dated 14 June 1777 names sons: Jacob, Isaac, Abraham, Jethro, Drury and John - grandsons: John, Job, Council, Uriah, Jesse Brittle(s/o John Brittle). Daughters: Alse Earp, Undin Council, Elizabeth Brittle (Grandchildren-Winnifred Brittle, John Brittle, Margaret Brittle and Drury Brittle.
Northampton Co. NC Deed book 6:175 dated 31 July 1777 - we the subscribers by will of John Bass assign rights in land to Jesse Bittle, son of John Bittle.
Elizabeth appears to have married Edward Taylor before 1747 according to a deed (not seen by undersigned) from brother John suggesting that she may have been previously married.
I am interested in any proof that Elizabeth Winborn was the wife of John Bass (III).
