She was born before 4 December 1674, the date upon which her baptism was registered at High Church parish in Glasgow, Lanarkshire, Scotland. Elizabeth Bogle married Andrew Schiells in Pollockschiells Her marriage record cannot be identified with certainty but it seems quite likely, probable even, that she is that Bogle lady without a Christian name, evidently a parishoner of Monkland parish, who was married to Andrew Schiells on 30 December 1695.
