About Elizabeth Bridgham

Henry Bridgham married Elizabeth Harding about 1644 in Boston. She was born about 1623 in Boreham, Essex, England, the daughter of John and Marie Harding. John Harding was a direct ancestor of the future President Warren G. Harding. Elizabeth arrived in Boston in May of 1635 aboard the Abigail, at the age of twelve. A year before her marriage to Henry, she was a “maid servant” to Capt. Edward Gibbons of Boston.[7] Her family can be traced back nearly 2000 years.
