Elizabeth J Davey

Elizabeth Jane Davey lived mainly in Bingfield street at No.50 with parents John & Elizabeth when her schooling was over, after age 17 became a dressmaker for some years. This position it was said was designing clothes for London's rich ladies, whatever that entailed! Mrs Beatrice Simpson learned of this position from her fathers notes (Wm Davey) about 1920. Miss Elizabeth J Davey apparently designed clothes for courtiers, but during research no other occupation or workplace has as yet been discovered. By the year 1891 and now twenty seven & still unmarried we find Elizabeth back living at home with her unmarried sisters Annie, Jane ,Maria & Louise in Sidney rd Lambeth. Finally when reaching late twenties Miss Davey marries Sidney Wilkins a policeman of Copenhagen st. at age 29.
