Elizabeth (Darnell)

Miss Elizabeth Darnell was born in 1842 . At age 21 she marries John Davey an ex greengrocer & carman ( carriage driver) of Bingfield street Islington. The couple had several children during the following years. Maria, Jane Rebecca ,Ada, Annie, Louisa, the boys were Arthur, Albert, John.(see respective profiles) John later , 1880s assisted his brother William in the licenced trade with support in a family owned public house,possibly "The Globe Tavern" (2017 John ,wife & older children have been discovered to actually be living/working at Grosvenor arms in Stockwell about 1890.)' Elizabeth Davey was widowed in 1905 John her husband died age 66 in 1905. Mrs Davey lived to an old age & was considered "mighty tough " by the then surviving relatives. Mrs Davey continued to live in Hanley road where others of Islington Davey relatives had lived during Victorian era although further up the road.
