About Elizabeth Theresia Fuchs

Elizabeth Welle was born to Christoph and Elizabeth (Primus) Welle on June 20, 1884 in Spring Hill, Stearns County, Minn. Lizzie is the 8th child of the 10 children in the Welle family. Her older siblings are Anna, John, Hubert, Henry, Joseph J., Conrad Welle and Mary Mehr. Her younger siblings are Anton and George Welle.

In 1902 Lizzie left Minnesota and went to Uniontown, Washington to join her older brothers, John and Conrad Welle. She met Frank Fuchs and they married in Uniontown, Wash on December 26, 1903. The couple had 9 children, of which 2 survived – Sylvester Fuchs and Augustine "Gus" Fuchs.

Lizzie (Welle) Fuchs died in Clarkston, Wash on April 15, 1965. She is buried in Clarkston, Wash along with her husband, Frank Fuchs.
