Elizabeth Page, of Shelly, Gloucester County, Va.,was the eldest daughter of sixth child of Governor Thomas Nelson, Jr. of Yorktown and Lucy Grymes, his wife. Her husband, Mann Page founded Shelly, on the York River, in 1794. It is situated on the hill opposite Rosewell, across Carter's Creek. The original house was destroyed by a fire in 1883, but was subsequently rebuilt. She married on June 5th, 1788, Mann Page. He died at Shelly.
