Elizabeth Plummer

BEWARE: Elizabeth Smith and Elizabeth Stockett/Yate have been confused for *centuries*.

Elizabeth Smith was born in 1646 in (presumably) Anne Arundel, MD. She died between 1694 (husband's death, mentioned in will) and 1706.

Thomas Plummer and Elizabeth Smith had the following children:

1. Thomas Plummer.
2. Margaret Plummer.
3. Mary Plummer.
4. Susannah Plummer.
5. Elizabeth Plummer

Note: She is NOT the daughter of Daniel Smith of Connecticut.

She also cannot possibly be the daughter of Mary Wells and Thomas Stockett/George Yate.

There were apparently several Smith families in early Maryland. Elizabeth belonged to one in Calvert County that also had brothers John, Philip, and Charles. How, and whether, they were related to any other Smiths is an unanswered question.
