Mrs Emma Yeakley, Despondent Over III Health, Took Her Own Life
ATCOUNTRY HOME SOUTH OF CITY
Three Years Illness Had Partially Unbalanced Her Mind.
Stilled by death inflicted by her own hand, the body of Mrs: Emma Yeakley, wife-of John Yeakley, was found hanging at. the end of a short rope in the kitchen of the home four miles south of the city at 9:30 this morning.
Deceased had been a victim of miserably poor health for the past three years and during the past year, her mind had become somewhat unbalanced through continual suffering. At times she conducted herself in such a manner as to arouse the fears of her husband and other relatives, and an espionage was kept on her movements as far as possible. This morning she was alone in the home a.nd took advantage of the opportunity to end her earthly troubles. Deceased was about forty-five years of age and was a daughter of the late Henry Buzzard, who resided in the same locality. Besides her husband, deceased is survived by two children, Charles, aged 20, and Eva, aged 15, and J. W. Buzzard, city mail carrier, is a brother.
The home is in Washington township, Carroll county, just across the Carroll county line."
