According to information provided in Nanna Egidius' "Ancestors from Øyer," Engebret Jenssen emigrated to the United States about 1860.

At the time of the 1870 Federal Census, Engebret and Anne Lienlokken lived in a household with two of their daughters, Lina and Jorgine. Sons John and Simen were enumerated as farmers with households of their own listed before and after their parents' household. John's household included his wife, Martha, and children Anna, age 3, and Edwin, one month. Simen's household included his wife, Anne, and Simen's brother Anton, age 17, who was recorded as a farm laborer. The John and Martha Lienlokken also had tenants, a carpenter, Stener Olson, age 24, and his wife, Maria, age 25, both born in Norway as were all of their parents.

Hjalmar R. Holand, Coon Valley: An Historical Accounty of the Norgwegian Congregations in Coon Valley., ((La Crosse, Wisconsin: Litho-graphics, 1928/1976)), p. 206:

"Engebregt Lienløkken was born Feb. 12, 1807 in Øier, Gudbrandsdalen, Norway, the son of Jens Lienløkken and Mari (last name unknown)."

"He emigrated to America in 1860, and settled on Section 32, Town of Washington, La Crosse County, the same year, where he owned 120 Acres."

"In 1836 he was married to Anne J. Lien, with whom he had the following children: Jens, Jens, Johannes, Sineon, Maria, Iver, Anton, Lina, Jørgine, Anna, and Even. His wife, Anne born Sept. 8, 1818, died May 14, 1892. He died Jan. 19, 1884. Both are buried in the Upper Coon Valley Cemetery."

"Mr. and Mrs. Lienlokken lived for some years in Løvøen in Namdalen, Norway."

An obituary for Anne, widow of Engebrect Lienlokken, appeared in the La Crosse, Wisconsin Republican and Leader on Monday, May 16, 1892 (page 4):

"LIENLOKKEN - Mrs. Anne Lienlokken, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. N.G. Saether, in the Town of Washington, on May 14, 1892. Deceased was seventy-three years old. Came to America in 1860, and has resided in La Crosse County ever since. Hers was a large family when they emigrated from Norway, but one after another has been laid to rest, until only three children survive her, namely her daughter, Mrs. Saether, and her two oldest sons, Jeans and John Lienlokken, both residing in La Crosse."
