The probate record of John Sanborn of Kingston is dated Feb. 19, 1723/4 and lists his widow and administratrix as Mehitabel.

Birth

John Samborn (or Sanborn) was born at Hampton, Rockingham, New Hampshire Colony), the son of John Samborn and Mary (Tuck) Sanborn. Victor Channing Sanborn gives his birth date as "about 1649," which is a reasonable estimate based on his marriage date.[1] He was admitted as a freeman of Massachusetts Bay Colony in 1678.[1] Marriage

John Sanborn married Judith Coffin at Hampton, New Hampshire (then in Old Norfolk County of Massachusetts Bay Colony), on 19 Nov 1674.[1][2] Children

The children of John and Judith (Coffin) Samborn were: Judith Samborn who was born August 8, 1675. Married Ebenezer Gove at Hampton on December 2, 1692. Mary Samborn who was born July 2, 1677. Married Ebenezer Stevens; lived in Kingston. Sarah Samborn who was born May 8, 1679. Deborah Samborn who was born in 1681. Married (1st) Samuel Fellows of Hampton, son of Samuel, on November 15, 1698. Married (2nd) Benjamin Shaw of Hampton Falls, son of Benjamin, on October 2, 1711. John Samborn was born in 1683.
