About Esther (Feldman)
My grandmother died when I was 7 years old. My mother never stopped telling me stories of her kindness. Apparently this woman was an exceptionally kind mother and wife.
She was very kind to everyone and did good deeds most of her life.
She was a wonderful and cherished mother.
I have a lot of colorful stories to tell you but probably should not be on the internet.
I remember bubbie taking me to the grocery store and tasting the cherries first to make sure they were "ok" to give to me. Then she would say, na, na, Loisell, or here, here, Lois, take it!~
My grandparents only spoke Yiddish in their home. English was not spoken. When my mother came home crying from school one day because the teacher hit her on the knuckles with a ruler when she didn't know the answer to a question, my grandmother went to school the next day and confronted the teacher telling her that "if you ever hit mein child again, I will KILL YOU!"
