ESTHER (NANNIE) HOUSTON: Oxford Presbyterian Church Cemetery Located on Rt. 677 off Rt. 612. The church began before 1763, organized in 1768.
A log structure was erected it was reorganized in 1843. Old Oxford shared a minister with the Church on Colliers Creek in 1835 and was then dropped. It was re-estblished in 1843.
The original building was a log structure erected circa 1763, replaced in 1811 by a stone building at the site of the present church.
The present brick building was dedcated in 1868. James Gold and wife deeded the land for the Church and lie buried in the Old section of the cemetery in unmarked graves. McKee, Esther "Nannie" Houston, w/o James
