Ethel L. Stipp VALPARAISO

Ethel L. Stipp, age 91, of Valparaiso, passed away peacefully Monday, November 1, 2004. Ethel was born December 23, 1912 in Kewanna, IN, the oldest of 14 children. She married Raymond Stipp on April 26, 1936, and they were blessed with a wonderful and loving 65 year marriage until his passing in 2001. Ethel was a member of Calvary Church in Valparaiso where she enjoyed the fellowship of many life-long friends and loved ones. She also enjoyed a 30 year career as a school teacher for South Central School and, after her retirement, kept busy by volunteering her time for worthy establishments such as Meals on Wheels. Ethel was first and foremost a family woman and will be greatly missed by all of her family. Her love was never ending and compassion only measured in greatness. Besides her beloved husband Ray, she was preceded in death by her parents, D. Roy and Fay (Rouch) Rans; brothers; Hubert, D. Roy, Jr., Billy Richard, Harold, Paul and Raymond Rans and sisters; Helen Worl and Lois Jean Bell; also, son-in-law, Bill Ludington and granddaughter, Kari Legan. She is survived by three children: Ron (Doris) Stipp of Hot Springs Village, AR., Sheila Ludington of Valparaiso and Ed (Lowene) Stipp of Fort Wayne; brothers: Larry, Lowell and Joe Rans and sisters: Lorene Wood and Virginia Agnew. Ethel will also be greatly missed by seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and two step-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Friday, November 5, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at Moeller Funeral Home, 104 Roosevelt Road, Valparaiso with Pastor Dan Lute officiating. Burial at Graceland Cemetery.
