28 October 1598: Charter by which John Cunningham of Aikenheid, with the consent of Adam Cunningham, lawful son of Adam Cunningham of Auchinhervie confirms a contract between Adam Cunningham junior and Patrick Maxwell of Newark, acting as curator for his sister. The contract is dated at Auchintiber 28 October 1598. Following from the contract, Adam Cunningham junior sold the five merk land of Hagtounhill in the barony of Renfrew to Patrick Maxwell of Newark. The deed of sale is dated at Newark 24 December 1600. A charter of confirmation was issued under the Great Seal of Scotland on 27 December 1600. 17 June 1606: Charter by which Patrick Maxwell of Newark confirms that he has given the two and one half merk land of Over Mains of Wester Leckie, together with other lands in Wester Leckie , to Adam Cunningham, son of Adam Cunningham of Auchinhervie. The grant was made with the consent of his sister Euphamie Maxwell, widow of Alexander Leckie, fiar of that Ilk, in fulfilment of a marriage contract between 'her and Adam Cunningham the younger. 13 June 1613: Discharge by Adam Cunninghame in Chapelton for himself and for Euphane Maxwell, his spouse, in favour of William, Lord Kilmaurs, eldest son of James, Earl of Glencairn, of all right competent to him and his said spouse, against William, Lord Kilmaurs for causing said James, Earl of Glencairn, Agnes Hay, spouse to said Earl, and William Barclay of Innergellie, as donator of the escheat of said Earl, to subscribe heritable bond, dated 3 Dec. 1614, by said Lord Kilmauris and said Earl of Glencairn (with consents therein mentioned) and taking burden on them for said Agnes Hay, Countess of Glencairn, and Jean Ker, spouse to said Lord Kilmaurs, and also by said William Barclay to infeft said Adam Cunninghame and his said spouse in the 40s. land of Barquhannan, 40s. land of Caldarben, 40s. land of Cambusnivne, 15s land of Wester Fynnerie, 15s. land of Eister Fynnerie, £3 land of Blairquhomrie, 4 merk land of Markinsche, corn mill of Mewie, mill lands and astricted multures of the £3 land of Bordland, £3 land of the mains of Kilmarnock, 40s. land of Drumery, with astricted multures of all other lands thirled to said mill, lying in barony of Kilmarnock and sheriffdom of Dumbarton, said Earl of Glencairn on 18 March 1615 having ratified said bond. 6 December 1614: Charter issued under the Great Seal of Scotland which confirms a new grant of the lands of Easter Leckie and other lands to Adam Cunningham of Chapeltoun, and his wife Euphamie Maxwell in conjunct fee and liferent. The lands in question were resigned by Archibald, Earl of Argyle, with the consent of his brother Colin Campbell of Lundie.
