Her father bought 300 acres on the south side of the Rapidan River, on July 20, 1738, near Charlottesville, Virginia. He grew tobacco. He was a colonel during the Revolutionary War.
Frances married Frederick William Wills on April 3, 1763. After he died, in 1796, she got remarried to a man named Original Young, on February 11, 1800. They were seen in the 1810 Census Report, living in Clark County, Kentucky. However, it was said that they did not get along, and they separated, sometime before 1820. Frances may have gone back to using the last name of Wills.
