Francis W Fleming, 79, whose wife died four weeks ago today, was found dead in bed this morning at the home of a son, Wilbert Fleming, Fairfield. He had been in ill health for several weeks. The time of death was placed at about 3:30 this morning. His wife, Rosie R Hull Fleming, died January 8. Mr. Fleming was a lifelong resident of Adams County and a son of the late William F and Catherine Yeatts Fleming. He was a contractor foreman in road and bridge construction work. Surviving are six children; Mrs. Catherine Myers and Mrs. Esta Sanders, both of Fairfield; Mrs. Kenneth McGarvey and Theodore, both of Chicago, and Wilbert and Robert, both of Fairfield. There are 15 grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Two sisters and a brother also survive; Mrs. George Slaybaugh, Taneytown; Mrs. Delbert Brown, Delta, Pa., and Harry Fleming, Gettysburg. Funeral services Friday afternoon at 2:00 at the Wilson Funeral Home, Fairfield, with the Rev. Robert Paden and the Rev. James Lesher officiating. Interment in the Fairfield Union Cemetery.
