About Francis Joseph Grimm, Civil War Vet
Francis was the son of Capt. Francis Grimm and Mary L. Wright.
He served as a very young man in the Civil War and remained in the Army. The 1870 census shows him with a regiment in Precinct 2, Subdivision 28, Cameron, Texas.
