Francis Phillips was married two or possibly three times. His first wife was Demis Aylesworth and their only child was (Deacon) John Phillips. The names of his subsequent wives have been lost in history, however, there is speculation that the name of one of them was Hannah, but as of yet has not been proven.

There is a handwritten notarized copy of missing family bible pages which shows that Francis had other children, namely: Francis, Zacheous, Thomas, Mary, and Cornwell. There are no birth dates shown, but probable dates have been established by census records.
