About Franciszek Drazkowski

Commonly known in Winona, MN during the 1870s and 1880s as "Frank Schneider." He was Winona's first Polish grocer and saloon keeper, assisted with the foundation of St. Stanislaus Kostka Parish in 1871, and edited the first three editions of Winona's Polish-language newspaper "Wiarus." His nephew, also named Franciszek Drążkowski (1878-1914), also used the name "Frank Snyder."
