Hi! I'm hoping someone can help me with this. I have that Hameline Plantagenet, who assumed the last name of his wife, Isabelle de Warren/Warenne had at least 4 children:
- 1. William de Warren m. Maud Marshall
- 2. Ela de Warren m. x2 1. Robert de Newburn 2. William Fitz William
- 3. Maud de Warren m. x2 1. Henry, Count of Eu 2. Henry d' Estouteville/de
- Stuteville
- 4. Isabel de Warren m. x2 1. Robert de Lacy 2. Gilbert de Laigle
I also have that they may or may not have had the following child----
Jeffery de Warren b. 1160 m. Isabella
Jeffery and Isabella had a son, John de Warren m. Audelia Albaney d/o Gruffith Albany and Audelia de Ightfield
I am interested in pursuing this line from John and Audelia but I need to know if John de Warren was the s/o of Jeffery de Warren and who Jeffery's father was if it wasn't Hamelin.
Any help with this would be greatly appreciated! Thanks! Sherry

This connection appeared in a visitation pedigree, but is false. The Jeffrey de Warenne (of Ightfield) in question here was a descendant of the Warenne of Whitchurch/Albo Monasterio line. This group, in turn, was likely kin to the Warenne earls, but the exact nature of that relationship remains unknown. The Ightfield line was discussed in this group several years ago, so you may want to check the archives.
