When George Adam Bright was born in 1770 in Spottswood, Virginia, his father, George, was 40 and his mother, Maria, was 36. He married Catherine Gochenour Campbell and they had one son together. He also had 13 sons and six daughters with Catherine Campbell. He then married George Adam Bright in Virginia. He died on September 15, 1836, in Green, Kentucky, at the age of 66, and was buried in Campbellsville, Kentucky.
