GEDCOM Note

As Frances Stevens married Christopher Foster in 1628 and her first children were born 1630, 1632 and 1634 in Ewell, Surrey, George could not have been her son, but might have been the son of Christopher’s first wife. G N Mackenzie also says George born in England and came to America in 1634, being entrusted to Dr Samuel Fuller. George Foster had a son George, born about 1675, who lived in Newport, Rhode Island. He had three sons, Thomas born 1710, Josiah and William born 1723. Thomas lived in Warwick, Rhode Island and had a son Thomas born 1735. William lived in East Greenwich, Rhode Island. Anne daughter of Thomas, married Joseph Arnold of Warwick and had two sons, Joseph and Nathaniel. "I Samuel Fuller the Elder being sick and weake...Item, whereas Eliz Cowles was submitted to my educacon by her father and mother still living at Charlestowne, mywill is that she conveniently appelled and returne to her ffather or mother. And as for George ffoster being placed with me by his parents still living at Sagos, mywill is that he be restored to his mother...30 July 1633."
