When grown, moved from Southhampton to East Hampton about January 1657. In 1666, he sold his holdings there and moved to Huntington which offered better pasterage for his cattle. He is mentioned many times in Southampton records with his father and brothers, such as in whaling squadrons, etc. LDS has the subsequent lineage of Samuel as him having brothers Jonathan, Ephraim and David, with father as Allen, m. (?) in England. Gen of Long Island Families gives d. date as 1687.
