Some sources suggest that George Morton born 1585 also had a son named George. It was noted by respected genealogist, Gale Ion Harris that there is no legitimate evidence supporting this connection. "John Edwards of Wethersfield, Connecticut" New England Historical Genealogical Society Register, October 1991, page 317. Harris notes that although this George is mentioned in "George Morton of Plymouth Colony and some of his descendants," by John K. Allen, he does not consider this a legitimate source because it lacks references.
