George was according to Emund Timothy Sewell the only one pf his siblings who stayed in Howe. He is mentioned in the rates book from 1808 to 1833. He is mentioned as Overseer and Constable of the parish and was mentioned as the largest or second largest rate contributor until 1823. With rates 15-20 pounds sterling, until he was 55 in 1823, then the rates dropped down to 3 pounds and then to 1 pound. According to his gravestone at Howe he was buried 1851 at age 69, but his christening tells us that he was 73..
