About Thomas Sewell, of Howe
Its unclear who Thomas Sewell of Howe was son of, some genealogies makes him son of Cleere Sewell of Ketteringham (ca. 1690–1784) and Mary Lamb (1688–1766), while others makes him son of Joseph Sewell of Bracon Ash (b. ca. 1674) and Elizabeth Baxter. I the sources the birthday is 1725 pr 1729. There is a son of Joseph born 1725, and I haven't yet found that Cleere had a son named Thomas. But theres also a Thomas born 1729 as son of Roger Sewell of Stanfield Hall (ca. 1674–etter 1719). The last one is also a candidate as Thomas was given right to some copyhold land in under the manor of Stanfield Hall, where Roger was a bailiff and yeoman, this copyhold land Stanfield Hall no. 25, was held by Roger 1746-1749 and by Thomas in 1753.
According to the "Sewell Pedigree-1904" he was born 24 August 1729, but according to other sources he was born 24 April 1729. There are also differences in the sources on when he died, some says 1808, but the pedigree says 1809, on this I will change to 1809. There is a Thomas Sewell baptized 23 September 1729 in St Peters church, Ketteringham by parents Roger Sewell and Elizabeth.
He is mentioned on a marble plaque in the church of Howe: "Near this place lieth the body of Thomas Sewell, an inhabitant of this parish 50 years, who died 12 December 1809 aged 81, lamented as a most affectionate husband and tender father. Also the body of Elizabeth his wife who died 13 July 1814 aged 73, beloved lamented." But according to the Sewell of Bracon Ash pedigree he was christened as early as 1725 (Could be a older brother who died...) This information tells us that he probably moved from Bracon Ash to Howe around 1759 and according to the Church Warden of Howe he appears in the rate books until 1807. When he married Elizabeth Moore in 1760, he was mentioned as a widower, could this be his first wife. Or maby this one
I find him insured as a farmer of Howe 7 January 1791.

There is a Thomas Sewelll who marries a Rebecca Tuttel in 1752 she is mentioned here. Hennes far skal være Samuel Tuttel, så mulig det bekreftes av dette: skiftet?
