Origin

George Weed was born on "25: 3m: 1661" (25 May 1661) at Salisbury, Essex County, Massachusetts.[1][2] He was a son of John Weed and Deborah Winsley.[3]

Marriage and Children

George married c. 1699 at Amesbury or Salisbury to Margerite Wathen (b 24 Sept 1674), daughter of Ezekiel Warthen and Hannah Martin.[3]

Positions and Property

George took the Oath of Allegiance on 20 December 1677 at Salisbury with his father and his perspective father-in-law, Ezekiel Warthen. On 10 May 1680 the three of them signed a petition for the Amesbury Training Band.[3]

Death and Legacy

George wrote his will on 25 January 1731/2, and it was proved on 31 July 1732 at Salisbury, Massachusetts.[3] Executors were wife Margery and son Nathaniel.[3] He probably died at Salisbury.[3]
