"Gerty" was one of the great beauties of Prague. Her parents (Dr. medicine) "uncle Rabe" with a long red beard and wife Anna (Schick) lived in the iconic stone "House of the Bell" in the city's central square.

She was to endure a number of death camps, finally Bergen-Belsen and survived. Later to live near cousins in Brasil, passing away in Sao Paulo. Sadly her 2 young children perished at Auschwitz.
