About Gilchrist “Kiticris” Ross

John Ross came from Scotland on the passenger ship the JOHN &; SARA in 1651 and was an indentured servent to Mr. Wardell which he worked off. John and the family moved to Pomfret, Conn. from Ipswich in the year 1682.

Funell (Fernell) Ross, George, John and Killecriss Ross were assumed to be brothers; captured in the Battle of Dunbar; and, sent to the colonies as indentured servents on ships in the mid 1600's.

1. GILCHRIST¹ ROSS, was born, presumably in Scotland and died at Ipswich, Massachusetts in 1683/4. He married at Ipswich on 09 May 1661, MARY GALLY2 (1640-1720 at age 80).
