Company Information: About 400 individuals and 52 wagons were in the company when it began its journey from the outfitting post at Keokuk, Iowa. This company included a California company. They crossed the Missouri River on July 11.

Gustave Louis Edward Henriod was born in Havre de Grace (le Havre), France. He was the son of Jean Louis Henri Henriod and Domitile Deligne Henriod. He, along with the rest of his family with the exception of the father, was among the first Mormon converts in France and emigrated to Utah at the age of 16. He married Elizabeth Sarah Jenkins November 17, 1860 and later Elizabeth Jackson on November 8, 1869.
