Hannah was born about 1743. Hannah Jones ... She passed away about 1833. [1]

It was reported in the minutes of the Abington Monthly Meeting in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania on 29 Oct (10th month) 1764 that the wedding between Joseph Janney and Hannah Jones had been "orderly accomplished". [2] Thus the couple was likely married earlier in the month of October. The couple had several children: [3]

The Abington Monthly Men's Minutes is handwritten. It reads as follows: Some of the ? applied for to inspect the Reforms which hindered Joseph Janney and Hannah Jones ? last meeting report it was some ?? in the young woman's mind at that time which is now removed and they being present Delayed their "Intentions of marriage" the ??. And said Joseph producing a certificate from the Monthly meeting of the Friends in Fauquier in Virginia and also a few lines from his parents, all of which approve of his proceeding, the same being read in this meeting. They are left to their liberty to consumate their marriage.
