Harry Gruenke, 92, Albany April 19, 1908 - April 27, 2000

Services will be 11:30 a.m. Monday at Seven Dolors Catholic Church for Harry Gruenke, 92, who died Thursday at Mother of Mercy Nursing Home.

Burial will be in the parish cemetery.

Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Sunday and after 9 a.m. Monday at Brenny Funeral Home, Albany. Parish prayers will be at 8 p.m. Sunday followed by St. Joseph's Catholic Aid Society at 8:30 at the funeral home.

Harry Gruenke was born in Albany to Anton Sr. and Agnes (Hofmann) Gruenke. He married Helen Vouk in October 1940 in St. Cloud. He was a member of Seven Dolors Catholic Church, Albany, and St. Joseph's Catholic Aid Society. He was a past member of the Knights of Columbus, past charter member of Albany Lions, past member of Board of Directors of the Farm Bureau, and former manager of the Albany Golf Club.

Survivors include his children, Gordon of Lopez, Wash., and Marilyn Thompson of Evergreen, Colo.; sisters and brothers, Viola Fahnorst [sic] of Minneapolis, Hortance Graham of Mission Viejo, Calif., Gumpert of Brooklyn Center [Minn.], Virgil and Tony Jr. of Albany, Ruth Kozlowski of St. Paul, and Bernice Stephen of Osakis [Minn.]; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by wife on Oct. 26, 1962; and brothers and sisters, Alfred, Pirmin, Werner, Eleanor Thelen and Dolores Wellenstein.
