Hendrick Gerritszen, Van Nes in Embderlandt, married Anneken Wessels, Van Colen, in 1654. They registered banns in the Reformed Dutch Church of New Amsterdam on 19 April 1654.[1]

Note: the marriage record from the DRC is

Bruid: Anneken Wessels (No patronym)

Note: the biography https://exhibitions.nysm.nysed.gov//albany/bios/vn/covness887.html#... seems to be confused since it appears to be partly based on the following marriage record from the Dutch Reformed Church in New Amsterdam.

1654 19 Apr; Hendrick Gerritszen, van Es in Embderlandt; Anneken Wessels, van Colen

she was dau. of (poss) Wessel Warners." Smith-62120 22:19, 28 April 2022 (UTC)

The marriage record indicates that Hendrick Gerritszen was from Nes in Embderlandt. Embderlandt apparently refers to Emden in Ostfriesland (East Frisia). See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emden). An online article in the Global Anabaptist Mennonite Encyclopedia[2] discusses Nes in Ostfriesland as a place where some Mennonites lived in the 1550s. Smith-62120 22:53, 28 April 2022 (UTC)
