About Henry Becher
- Henry Becher was the eldest son of Henry Becher and Alice Heron. He was stated in the Inquisition Post Mortem to be 26 when his father died in 1571 so was probably born about 1544/5.
- Henry Becher became a Haberdasher and a Freeman of the City of London by right of Patrimony on the 16th March 1565 [he would have been at least 21]
- He married Judith Riche, daughter of John Riche and Anne Kelk on the 14th May 1571 at St Mary Woolchurch Haw, London
- In 1580 Henry Becher sold the house he inherited from his father known as "The Worm on The Hoop" on Threadneedle St, London to Peter Tryden of the Dutch Reform Church.
- In 1582 Henry and his family were living in the St Mildred & St Mary Ward, London.
- Henry Becher was made second Warden of the Haberdasher's Guild in 1584 and first Warden in 1586.
- Henry purchased the Mansion, College & Rectory of Fotheringhay, Northampton in 1597.
- Henry died at Fotheringhay in May 1608.
- His will was probated on 15 December 1608.1
