Evidence needed to support as son of Sir William Peake of Thorpe Waterville & Sara M Peake of Thorpe Waterville
https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Peake-85
Boniface Peake of Thorpe Achurch was born about 1570 based on his marriage in 1595.[1] He was the son of an Unknown Peake and Mabel Unknown, as is proven by his mother's will.
Note that this profile previously said Mabel married William Peake (~1535 - 1598), and that he was the father of Boniface Peake. This is mixing together two different Peake families. William is not the husband of Mabel or father of Boniface Peake of Thorpe Achurch, Northamptonshire, England.
That he is the father of the New England immigrant Christopher Peake is shown by his will naming sons William and Christopher, the will of his son Christopher Peake mentioning debts owed to his brother Sir William Peake, and the will of his son Sir William Peake which states he was born in Thorpe Achurch and forgiving debts owed by his brother Christopher Peake.
He married Joan Clark on 14 July 1595 in Castor, Northamptonshire, England. They had eleven children.
Of these, his son William would be knighted and served as Lord Mayor of London. His son Christopher Peake immigrated to New England in 1634 and settled in Roxbury, Massachusetts. Another son Robert married Margaret Thomson; daughter of John and Alice (Freeman) Thomson; Alice Freeman along with several children also immigrated to Roxbury around the same time.
Boniface Peake was buried on 26 Jun 1620 at Thorpe Achurch. He left a will.
Born: About 1570 (1562-1571).
His birthdate is based on his marriage in 1595. He was certainly of age when he was made executor of his mother's will in 1593. His parents were born anytime between 1561 and 1572 giving a range to his possible birth dates. His wife was born in 1575 making it more likely that he was born closer to 1570 than a date in the early 1560s.
