Henry Campbell performed Patriotic Service in the American Revolution Daughters of the American Revolution, DAR Genealogical Research Databases, database online, (http://www.dar.org/), "Record of Campbell, Henry", Ancestor # A018585.

Henry was born about 1764. He was the son of George Campbell and Catherine Unknown. He passed away in 1835.

Campbell & Mary his wife, Benjamin Campbell & Vicey his wife, Henry Campbell, Cornelius Campbell & Catharine his wife, Joel Hight and Nancy his wife, William A. Hight and Susannah his wife, John Allen & Sally his wife and Elizabeth Campbell of the one part & William W. Camden of the other part Witnesseth: that for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred and four dollars to the said Sally Campbell, Wm. W. Campbell, Jno. H. Campbell, Geo. H. Campbell & Mary his wife, Benja. Campbell & Vicy his wife, Henry Campbell & Cornelius Campbell & Catharine his wife, Joel Hight & Nancy his wife, Wm. A. Hight & Susannah his wife, Jno. W. Camden and running thence with their line S. 44 W. crossing a branch near a spring 57 po. to a stake on a ridge in said Campbells & Camden's line, thence a new line S 37 E. 46 1/2 po. to pointers in James Dickies line and with said Dickies line N. 56 1/2 E. (crossing a branch 66 1/2 po. to a pile of stones at the corner of a fence N. 25? W 92 po. (passing Dickies corner at A at 80 po.) to a pile of stones and thence S. 3 W 41 po. to the beginning, together with all and singular the rights, members and appurtenances thereunto belonging & the reversions, remainder, rents, issues and profits thereof. To Have and To Hold the said tract or parcel of land and all and singular other the premises hereby bargained & sold or mentioned or intended so to be with that and every of their rights, members and appurtenances unto said Wm. W. Camden his heirs and assigns to the only proper use of him the said Wm. W. Camden his heirs and assigns forever and the said Sally Campbell, Wm. W. Campbell, Jno. H. Campbell, Geo. H. Campbell & Mary his wife, Benja. Campbell & Vicy his wife, Henry Campbell, Cornelius Campbell & Catharine his wife, Joel Hight & Nancy his wife, William A. Hight and Susannah his wife, Jno. At a Court held for Nelson County the 25th day of May 1835 This Deed was produced in said Court and proved by the oaths of N. M. Loving a subscribing witness hereto, and acknowledged by Wm.W. Campbell a party hereto & ordered to lie for further proof and at a Court held for Nelson County the 28th day of Dec. 1835. This Deed was further proved by the oath of N. Bryant another subscribing witness hereto and at a Court held for Nelson County the 28th day of March 1836 this deed was further proved by the oath of James McWane a third subscribing witness thereto & thereupon ordered to be recorded. The case is 48-022; Catherine Campbell and others against Executors of Nelson Anderson and others. It is on line at the LVA site. Chancery cases ,Nelson cases on the LVA site Dated 1848: this case states that when Henry Campbell died in 1835, Nelson Anderson was then Sheriff of Nelson Co VA. Nelson Anderson was given authority to settle the estate of Henry Campbell, but he made a sale which caused an imperfect title and the descendants of Henry Campbell and wife Sarah were bringing suit to perfect the title. Says Sarah died 1844. Says Sarah, after she was widowed, was living on the land and cultivating it with her son. States that Shannon D. Campbell was administrator for Cornelius Campbell. His siblings were: William H. Campbell, George T. Campbell, Morris P. Campbell, Sarah Campbell, Arranah Campbell, Alfonso Campbell, Mary Jane Campbell, Benjamin W. Campbell.
