About Herman Alexander Andersson

Colonel Alexander Anderson, of a noble Scottish family (his mother was a Sinclair of Mourtell), is mentioned in 1661 as commander of Nyenskans in Ingermanland, and was introduced into the Swedish House of Nobles 1668. His son Herman Alexander was lieutenant-captain and died in Karelen 1688. His son Alexander Magnus, major of the Österbotten regiment, went over ni 1712 to the Russians, but was sent to Siberia. Many of the sons w e r e officers.
