Sarah toliver was born on May 9, 1786 in Wilkes County, North Carolina. She died on Dec. 28, 1859 in Lee County, Illinois (buried in Sugar Grove Cemetery). She married Homer Absolom Fender between 1808 and 1809, son of Nimrod Fender and Sarah Jane Summers. He was born on Sept. 18, 1790, in Surry County, North Carolina. He died on Mar. 10, 1849 in Lee County, Illinois (buried in Sugar Grove Cemetery, today the Palmyra Cemetery in Palmyra).
