Louis-Albert Vachon, CC OQ was a cardinal of the Catholic Church and Archbishop emeritus of Quebec. He was ordained on 11 June 1938 then attended Laval University, graduating in 1941 with a Doctorate in Philosophy. He was awarded a doctorate in theology in 1949. He became cardinal in 1985 and retired in 1990.
