About Hon. Charles John Frederick Winn
Charles John Frederick Winn (1896-1968) 2nd son of the 2nd Baron St. Oswald..
He was an officer in the 10th Hussars from 1914 to 1922, and ADC to the British Military Representative at Marshal Foch's HQ in 1918.
Served as Lieutenant of the 10th Hussars in the Great War. 1917 - was injured at the battle of Monchy-le-Preux and lost his right eye.
In the period before the Second World War, he managed the Winn family estate at Nostell Priory, Yorkshire.
