Rowland George Winn, 3rd Baron Saint Oswald of Nostell was born on 29 July 1893.
He was the son of Rowland Winn, 2nd Baron Saint Oswald of Nostell and Mabel Susan Forbes.
He married Evie Carew Greene, daughter of Charles Greene, on 29 October 1915.
He died on 25 February 1957 at age 63.

He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.
He was educated at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, England.
He gained the rank of Captain in 1914 in the Reserve of Officers, Coldstream Guards.
He fought in the First World War, where he was wounded.
He gained the rank of Staff Officer in the Royal Air Force.
He succeeded as the 3rd Baron Saint Oswald of Nostell, in the West Riding of co. York [U.K., 1885]
on 13 April 1919.
