Rowland Winn, 2nd Baron Saint Oswald of Nostell was born on 1 August 1857.
He was the son of Rowland Winn, 1st Baron Saint Oswald of Nostell and Harriet Maria Amelia Dumaresq.
He married Mabel Susan Forbes, daughter of Sir Charles John Forbes of Newe, 4th Bt. and Helen Moncreiffe, on 10 October 1892.
He died on 13 April 1919 at age 61.
He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Conservative) for Pontefract between 1885 and 1893.
He succeeded as the 2nd Baron Saint Oswald of Nostell, in the West Riding of co. York [U.K., 1885] on
20 January 1893. He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of the West Riding, Yorkshire.
He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for the West Riding, Yorkshire.
He gained the rank of Captain in the Coldstream Guards.
