JAMES, Fourth LORD DUNBOYNE. The said James, fourth Lord DunBoyne, was married to Ellen, the daughter of Pierce, Lord Viscount Ikerrin, but died without issue male. His four younger brothers before named had previously died without issue : consequently on the death of the said James the fourth Lord DunBoyne, the male line from John the eldest son of James, second Lord Dunboyne, became extinct. Thereupon the said Title and Dignity passed to the male line, descended from the before mentioned Pierce of Ballydroghid, the second son of James, second Lord Dunboyne, and devolved upon the grandson of the said Pierce.

The said Pierce was married to Ellen, the daughter of Gerald Sutton, of Ballykyroe, and had by her three sons :

1 Edmund, whose issue succeeded to the title ;

2 Pierce, who died without issue ;

3 William, of Castleton, whose issue never succeeded to the title.
