Hugh Campbell lived in Appalachia, in Virginia.
Arrived in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on 22 May 1740 (this is likely in error, as Hugh, wife, and Sarah could not have taken the Oath for Land Headrights prior to arrival, see next)

20 Feb 1740, Hugh Campbell's Importation Oath for Land Headrights, himself, Ester, Sarah Campbell, from Ireland into Philadelphia and from there into this Colony, first time proving his and their rights in order to obtain land.[1]
